The Struggle was in a state of gestation for a very long time. Then suddenly it all came together. I picked up the logs in an ashram in Essex and purchased the rope from a supplier in Bow. The figure is made of two pieces of sycamore logs, which have been bolted together. Mixed staining methods were used to obtain the special patina which I had envisioned.
